Hey Rick, It's so interesting to me that you say this about Adam Schmitt, because I can remember my first thought when I got his second album, Illiterature, which was "wow, I can't believe how much different this sounds from his first one!" To my ears, World So Bright had a very slick, corporate sound, which was overcome by his awesome voice and excellent songwriting. Illiterature was awash in distorted, grungy sounds...well, as distorted and grungy as a pop guy would get, but nevertheless far different from its predecessor. He even seemed to purposefully employ a grittier vocal on Illiterature. I also see Demolition as being different from the other two; earthier, with Schmitt occasionally sounding like Tom Petty. I'm really curious to find out where you hear saminess in Schmitt's work. -- Pop Rules!!!!! Take Care, David
