With the young offenders, even their past crimes are not admissable as a means to establish violent history or reckless patterns. Perhaps, you still have less of a "copy cat" impact in Canada but have obvious other legal problems and issues with the media in terms of their intrusion on the victims. I was afraid there might not only be a silver lining to the story... I used to think it was an easy cop out to blame the media for societies troubles but I more and more see them as having "some" culpability. Thanks for the info, Steve
