Andy Bown NOT Alan Bown yes! i stand corrected... he was a nice guy, always on the lookout for copies of his solo lps.... forgot about the Herd connection..... just recently, I was at a gig and was introduced to Pete Kircher, one of their ex-drummers. he runs an antique shop on main St. here in vancouver. He did say he was the Quo's drummer but seemed reluctant to talk too much about them. as his shop is up the street from where i live, i guess i should go have a look.... http://www.geocities.com/backtobackuk/kircherpictures.html http://www.geocities.com/backtobackuk/petediscog.html they're one of those UK bands that the labels couldn't seem to give away here... I don't know... i remember Capitol in the 70s gave them a good kick at the can, but did they ever tour here? I don't seem to think so.... They're kind of like Cliff Richard.... one of those British pop cultural institutions that sometimes translates over, but mostly don't.... maybe kind of like Canada's Tragically Hip... I don't know... why can Savoy Brown keep touring the bar circuit forever in North America? Why do they (no offense, a living is a living... I'm just saying this light-heartedly). anyway... that's the last from me on this topic... this is all your fault, david!! hahahahaaaa...... Geez, now where'd I put my Adam Faith lps? They were next to the Billy Fury stack.... hmmm.....
