actually, since i'd be guaranteed to get plenty sick
of ANY choice in my own personal version of castaway,
i always figured i'd take something i could go
peaceably crazy taking apart and trying to understand,
like the Goldberg Variations or the Requiem or
something.

Otherwise, if i thought i'd be saved within a
sanity-preserving number of months, something soothing
that I wouldn't mind never wanting to hear again when
i got home.  Rhythm of the Saints, perhaps?  The
Sundays? Sigur Ros?
