Caught Aimee Mann's show in DC last night. This was the 3rd time I've seen her on the tour and this was probably the most fun of the 3. Highlights: Duncan Sheik opened and had a very beautiful set, with lots of the crowd singing along/doing harmonies. Someone yelling out "Freebird" and her looking at the guy and going "Well, we WON'T do freebird. You should be thrown out just for saying that. But we WILL do 'Sweet Home Alabama' and force you to dance up here on stage." So the guy jumped up on stage, stood around while they played, and tried to sing some of the chorus. Was pretty funny. Duncan Sheik came out and joined Aimee in Oasis's 'Wonderwall.' Aimee was taking lots of requests from people as they'd toss them on stage in paper airplanes. There was a snowstorm last evening, so coming out after the show, heh...lets just say it was an adventure getting home (a 40min drive took me 2hrs) songs played: 4th of July Long Shot Sugarcoated You Could Make A Killing (dedicated to Noel Gallager) Amateur How am i different deathly calling it quits susan humpty dumpty Pavlov's Bell Invisible Ink The Moth Real Bad News Wise Up Save Me Telescope Sweet Home Alabama Wonderwall -kev _________________ Kevin Gandel Computer Consultant Oddsman Ink 410.992.3893
