Well, heyHEYhey. Was wondering where you'd gotten off to. ("Is he going to come tonight?" Heh.)
I've actually been haunting the open mic at the Sandcastle Lounge pretty regularly unless I have an obligation I can't break. (One of which will be this Tuesday when I'm going on a Plymouth, MA pub and brewery crawl with an out-of-town buddy. But we may yet stick our heads in. No promises.) Still scoping out the open mic and working up the nerve to take my own turn. (Pro tip: Don't wait until you're 58 to start playing. But, whenever, do start.)
I'm also this very afternoon heading into the New World Tavern in the village in Plymouth to see Walrus Gumboot. Whose repertoire is what their name suggests.

I did bump into a fella in the entry line for a Fountains Of Wayne Show at the Beachcomber in, I want to say, 2011, who, if he wasn't an Audities member, might as well have been. We spend the entire time saying, "Do you know THIS band? Do you know THAT band?" I think he thought he'd stump me mentioning the Blue Shadows (Bill or was it Bob Cowsill's 1990s thing) except that I'd been put onto those guys in the recent past then on this very list. He was a fun guy with whom I'd love to catch up. But bumping into him at the 'Comah in Wellfleet, he could have been from anywhere.

What are the odds of attending a local ‘open mic’ night in the burbs and bumping into another longtime Audities list member? Well it recently happened to me. I could tell from The Weeklings tshirt that this was not your typical attendee of these events. .Indeed it was none other than Larry Dunn. In my shock to discover this, I failed to get Larry’s contact info. So, Larry, please get in touch and let me know when you’re heading back to the Tuesday night open mic for your debut. Would also like to explore the possibility of starting a local Audities type meet up for occasional music exploration / listening gatherings and concerts. Would be great to rekindle some of the Audities spirit in real life as opposed to only online.
Anyone else ever by chance encounter an Audities list member? I suspect seeing Sasquatch is more common!
