Oh yeah. I remember reading about this back in the day when that terric
album was released. And if there's anyone unsure what She Bop is all about
there's a shop up in Portland that's on point and doesn't sell records at
all.

Really nice to see some folks still posting here. To be honest (and I truly
hope not sounding like the old man I'm becoming) - I miss the Audities of
old a great deal. I don't find social media has improved the quality or
depth of conversations that happen around the music we love, and to be
honest I weary of the promotion that seems ubitquitous. So I know I'm as
guilty as most here - I never post. But glad to see some who do.

Favorite album from 2020 so far? didn't we used to do a mid-year check in?
I'll start. A Girl Called Eddy - Been Around on Elefant Records out of
Spain, with it's sympathetic and warm production from Daniel Tashian
(Silver Seas, nee The Bees (US), as well as being the song of Barry Tashian
of the The Remains) is just wonderful. Bacharach, Steely Dan, Dusty
Springfield - thoughtful and heartfelt lyrics. Took a long time to follow
up her self-titled debut, but I'm never one to carp about pace or quantity
of output. Worth the wait and just gorgeous. I got the white vinyl which is
also stunning. https://elefantrecords.bandcamp.com/album/been-around-2
