Nice to see the audities list resurrected from the brink of history these past few months.

Anyone remember the Audities List Member CD compilation. Talk about DIY!

That was the last time I released anything on behalf of anyone else.

Until Now. Our good friends, and Chicago’s own, Sunshine Boys released a great CD earlier this year. To show how much Pete (shutter pop) Kuehl and I love it, Cheap Kiss Records is releasing the record called Blue Music on Limited Blue Vinyl This October.

You can pre-order here:
www.cheapkissrecords.com

Here is the official press release.

Pre-order now! “Blue Music”, the stunning debut album by Chicago indie rockers Sunshine Boys. In limited edition 180g blue vinyl! Sunshine Boys are Dag Juhlin (The Slugs, Poi Dog Pondering), Freda Love Smith (Blake Babies, Mysteries of Life) and Jackie Schimmel (Justin Roberts, Big Hello). With “Blue Music” Sunshine Boys have delivered an album of ringing, urgent, startlingly fresh pop songs. Songs of empathy and discontent; songs of wonder and rage; songs of yearning and defiance. Not even two years old as a band, Sunshine Boys have hit an absolute bullseye the first time out with their highly melodic, unapologetically heartfelt, and instrumentally supercharged debut full-length release.
“Track after track on ‘Blue Music’ is a Power Pop lover’s dream.” – 8 out of 10 stars, Popmatters
“Shines with jangly hooks and soaring backup vocals.” – Chicago Reader
“Well crafted lyrics set to indelible arrangements that combine alt rock with classic guitar driven ’60s pop.” – Terry Flamm
“Straight out of Indie/Pop Rock paradise. A less rootsy Del Amitri, or a very poppy REM. ‘Sign Of Life’ is the ballad of the year.” – Sweet Sweet Music Blog
The record comes with download card of album PLUS three songs not available anywhere else.
Limited to only 250 copies. Tentative October 2018 release. Snatch it up while you can!
(final vinyl color may be slightly different than pictured)
