I always called it "punk pop" myself. When I saw the song title I was
hoping for a Plimsouls cover, but still catchy regardless. Seems like a
lot of Cal punkers have a powerpop heart (Mike Ness, Billie Joe
Armstrong, etc.). A hook is a hook is a hook.
