>>Derringer didn't really do that, did he?
Sadly, yes...Very odd to hear a song about getting laid outdoors now
re-purposed as an evangelical come-on. But...different strokes, etc.

(the following are *their* words, not mine) "Rick Derringer and his
talented wife, Jenda have been rewriting some his hits from the past,
turning them into modern Christian classics. They've also been creating
new music that will be soon be known by listeners as modern "classics".
This collection has it all. Some of the songs will be recognized right
away and others will sound like you must have heard them before. Don't
let this CD slip away. This is music that you simply "must have".
>>"All American Boy" and the vastly underrated "Guitars and Women" are
still favorites from my childhood ....
My two favorites as well. Many know the first but the other is (for some
ungodly reason) a hidden gem. Still play both loud and often. Great
musicians on both, especially AAB.

Depends upon the artist. I can appreciate Tonio K on multiple levels -
his songs read as relationship songs as much as they do spiritual pleas.
But he's a first class songwriter.
Rick Derringer re-purposing his rock catalog as Jesus anthems...not so
much.
