What can I say? The man wrote the screenplay for "Beyond The Valley Of
The Dolls" for starters. Tho I was more a Gene Siskel fan (& stunned
when he died at 54), I loved Ebert's sense of humor & his tweaks of
Siskel when Gene went beyond the pale (tho I tended to agree with
Siskel). Ebert's lefty fundalmentalism irked me at times, but the man
certainly had many gifts and was never boring (except the politicking).
