Although not of the era requested, Brad Mehldau is excellent. As a starting point, youtube a cover of Nick Drake's River Man....I have his entire collection, and I find it fascinating.

Not sure how many are still here but I know most of you have "big ears" and
listen to and love a wide variety of stuff....
Anyone know of any jazz lists that would be like what Audities was like in
it's heyday? Lost of people talking about jazz, fave and classic stuff etc?
Looking for one with an emphasis on jazz from the 60's up to about the '80's
- classic blue note, verve, atlantic stuff etc......
