Here is a ton of info on the album. Just found this. Scroll down for a track by track account by a band member which states the source.They are indeed covers, and some look delightful.

This is why Audities is still vital. I saw this release, knew it would interest you people. There was instant response, and came up with this. Nice to see this band back. That review at Pitchfork is a good one.
