Seduction was commissioned by Swedish radio -- it's a one hour musical, and, in its original broadcast form, it was just straight through. Subsequently, the album was released in various forms, including a box set with English and Swedish versions. The box comes with a CD which is banded. Sparks eventually released a limited edition stand alone CD.

It's very much a piece, with only a few standout songs. Director Guy Maddin has agreed to direct a movie version -- he directed a read through stage version at the L.A. Film Festival in 2011. The band needs to get financing -- I hope they can pull it off, as Maddin's eccentric vision meshes well with the Maels.

One of a handful of bands that when I saw them on TV (back when "Propaganda" was released)I KNEW I had to get to the record store the next day to buy music from them.

I never even heard of this being released until recently. I believe it was music from a show they put together. What a curious mix Sparks and Bergman! I assume it's less of a straight forward record?
