Here's my Tops of 2011. In 2011, I decided that I would rather take a flyer on an EP and bands are probably better served to release 5 solid songs once or twice a year for $5 than to release an album of songs that contains filler for $10 - $15...That said, here's my list of albums:
1) Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones (Excellent live show and a Billy Bragg vibe make this my top pick)
2) Telekinesis - 12 Desperate Straight Lines
3) Sloan - The Double Cross
4) Boston Spaceships - Let It Beard
5) Centro-Matic - Candidate Waltz
6) Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding (Despite having one of the worst album covers of all-time)
7) East River Pipe - We Live In Rented Rooms
8) Moonlight Towers - Day Is The New Night
9) Quinn Scharber - Every Other
10) Leatherbag - Yellow Television
11) Amy Lavere - Stranger Me
12) Noel Gallagher - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
13) Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See
14) She Wants Revenge - Valleyheart
15) Nick Lowe - The Old Magic
16) Decemberists - The King Is Dead
17) Celebrated Workingman - Content Content
18) Drive-By Truckers - Go-Go Boots
19) Tommy Keene - Behind The Parade
20) The Zombies - Breathe Out, Breathe In
