speaking as someone who designs a lot of cd packages, and I DID do the latest Tommy Keen one for Second Motion, from a manufacturing position, they actually charge MORE for the old jewel cases versus digi-pak or other paper based sleeves....and with all the 'green' stuff in the world, you can believe that the days of plastic cases will be ending pretty soon....

I second that regarding the packaging. Jewel cases every time for me. I don't
like digipacs and hate slip cardboard sleeves.

yes, it's more of the same, but in a quite positive way. Maybe a bit below his

Tommy's music epitomizes what I like more in rock, which is basically big,
ringing and echoing guitars, topped by melodic, 'human' singing.

format is. I'm really upset by these thin and poor envelopes that American
labels are using nowadays (you don't see them as often in European cd's). I
definitely prefer jewel cases or thicker digipacks, in harder paper and complete
with tray and inserts. Tommy's label Second Motion has a fantastic roster, with
several other artists that I like a lot (Church, Kilbey, Swervedriver, etc.) but
some of their releases come in this format that I hate so much.
