No they were lesser known than the bands already mentioned. Not The Primitons, Velvet Elvis or Sex Clark 5 either. More straight power pop/rock I think. I already tried to search Audities archives and John Borack's list. Unfortunately, I am away from my PC for the next few days...

Trying to remember the name of a lesser known U.S. power pop band that was 
discussed on Audities many years back. All I can remember-from Louisiana or somewhere deep South, circa
 70s-80s, reissued within the 00's, big 
regionally but not nationally/internationally...ring any bells?
