I checked the whole catalogs of Jam and Not Lame, and played with the "similar bands" feature of All Music and Last.FM, and no dice. Maybe I was just hallucinating. Thanks for the efforts!

Trying to remember the name of a lesser known U.S. power pop band that was 
discussed on Audities many years back. All I can remember-from Louisiana or somewhere deep South, circa 70s-80s, reissued within the 00's, big 
regionally but not nationally/internationally...ring any bells?
