Steve,
Have you gotten into Joanna's "Have one on me", her 3 cd set. It was my #1 last year by a mile. She is not for everyone. But well worth the effort for those that listen. One of those artists that reveal more beauty the more you indulge. I consider "Have one" a masterpiece.

She is almost everything at face value I am not typically looking for in a song writer: looong songs, few hooks, seems sort of self indulgent and yet, I really am draw into and loving many of her tracks.

In the interview she mentioned being a fan of Cotton Mather. I forwarded it to Robert through Future Clouds and Radar's MySpace page. Months later, I run into Robert and he tells me that he contacted Nicole and they were going to start writing together. When Nicole played in Austin earlier this summer, Robert played guitar on "Monterrey Honey" (but he was unable to sing that night). It was quite a treat.
