I've been WAITING for that Genuine Fakes release to hit the U.S., Joey, so I'm very appreciative of the fact that you alerted us. I just ordered the CD from Kool Kat!

/You may have success in life, but then just think of it - what kind of
life was it? What good was it - you've never done the thing you wanted
to do in all your life. I always tell my students, go where your body
and soul want to go. When you have the feeling, then stay with it, and
don't let anyone throw you off. /

Maybe I am crazy , but I really like what I am hearing from this new Liam Gallagher band.Yeah, it's no stretch
from Oasis, but it sounds like good Oasis. Have only hear 3 tunes , but I likes them all.
Anyone else digging the whole album? Can't decide if I should get it.

i've heard a few things and it doesn't sound REALLY close to Oasis in
my opinion...certainly in the vicinity, as how could it not, but not as
heavy handed as Oasis later got......not bad!

i might spring for the long player...

Hello everyone,

I know people on this board generally are annoyed by self-promotion
messages, but I thought you guys might be interested in knowing that my band
The Genuine Fakes have recently put out our debut album in the US through
Kool Kat Musik. The release includes an exclusive bonus disc with five
previously unreleased tracks. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/tgf-koolkat

We've also got a brand new website up if you're interested -
http://thegenuinefakes.com

Just the other day we got this following quote from Ken Stringfellow of The
Posies - it made my day, I tell ya!

"The Genuine Fakes are proof of Sweden's seemingly inexhaustible font of pop
genius. Hitting all the right marks, they walk you thru the major required
classes in the school of pop -- chime, harmony, sparkle, and melody 101...
surely these guys are on their way to being tenured professors in pop's
university."

Regards,
Joey Fake
