Many/most of us grew up watching *Don Kirshner* stiffly introduce bands
on *Rock Concert*, the musical crapshoot that could give us The Rolling
Stones live and then follow it up with Helen Reddy (hey, just like AM
Radio!). Well, Don is now /literally /stiff, but you can't knock his
accomplishments.

I drop this note in case you aren't a daily blog visitor, because
there's a clip of Joe Walsh absolutely /torching /a medley from
*Barnstorm *(one of my favorite albums and the subject of one of my
first blogs

backed by Don Felder, Willie Weeks and (I believe) Jay Ferguson, among
other 70s hotshots. I always thought Walsh was far better known for his
stoner persona and a couple of mammoth hits than for this amazing album,
and this clip shows why that's a huge oversight.
