There's a lot here to like for pop fans, from the sweet, retro sounds of Tennis, to the twee-with-some-lyrical-bite Allo Darlin'; the pop-soul of V.V. Brown to the cozy indie folk of Seabear; the 80s-influenced Summer Camp to the garagey/beachy girl group sounds of Frankie Rose & the Outs, Dum Dum Girls, and Best Coast. Not a bad year!
