Here's my top picks for 2010. Yeah, I didn't seem to buy a lot of power-pop this year...
1. Have One On Me - Joanna Newsom (One of the best things I've ever heard...ever.)2. Lover's End- Moon Safari (This young Swedish Prog band release their 2nd masterpiece...a strange but beautiful mix of Beach Boys and Yes)3. Measure- Field Music 4. Before Today- Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti (Lo-Fi Syke-Pop with a hint of Ramones, West Coast Pop, Todd and 'War Babies' era Hall & Oates. Weird and lovely)5. Far Skies Deep Time - Big Big Train (excellent, visceral prog featuring XTC's Dave Gregory)6. X - Spock's Beard7. Intriger - Crowded House8. Blood / Candy - The Posies9. Shadows - Teenage Fanclub10. The Suburbs - Arcade Fire11. Dream Attic- Richard Thompson12. The Courage Of Others- Midlake13. Go Well Diamond Heart- Mostly Autumn14. Olympia - Bryan Ferry15. Hedonism - Bellowhead (English Folk done show-band style!) 16. Mars Hallow - Mars Hallow17. Dramarama - Agents Of Mercy 18. Odd Blood - Yeasayer19. Fables & Dreamsongs - Bill Nelson20. Scratch My Back - Peter Gabriel
