Peter,
In my experience, it's sometimes tough for indie labels to get iTunes to
comply with hard release dates these days so the labels quietly submit
the album early as to not risk it not being available on the actual,
official street date, i.e. better early than late. May have been what
happened in this case but not totally sure.
Whatever the case it's, indeed, a good album no matter the format.

But confused: despite what their web site (www.thedavenportsnyc.com)
says, the new record has been available on line for a while. I got it
off of iTunes 10/26. (I plan to buy the hard copy as well).
It's another good one! Favorite tracks: "Figure Me Out" and "Hanging
Out With Dave"
