What I never could get my head around was the song itself. Given its context
among the album it appeared on (TRANSFORMER), I never liked the disparate
themes of sappy sentiment ("feed animals in a zoo/then later a movie too")
and underlying menace ("you're going to reap just what you sow"). Yeah, I
know, plenty of good songs achieve that, but this one never did for me.
YMMV...

It worked slightly better as a duet when Kirsty MacColl and Evan Dando
covered it, but then every song worked better when Kristy sang it. Lord
knows they beat the Duran Duran version!
