Paul,
My copy arrived from Amazon last Friday and I finished it last night. Thanks for writing such a fantastic book about Todd. The approach and focus perfectly capture what I most wanted to know about Todd and the records he's made for himself and others. Tales about 'Skylarking' have been given plenty of airtime but you've captured so much more to the story here. It's an amazing treat to read about the making of records like Bourgeois-Tagg's 'Yo-Yo' and Jules Shear's 'Watchdog'...two of my all time favorites. While reading I kept reaching for my iPod to 'zoom' in on certain recordings related to the anecdotes. The experience has totally rekindled a longstanding fantasy of having Todd produce a record for my band.
Auditeers,
Even if you're not a Todd fan, this is a great book about the process of making music and and great records. If you're into that sort of thing, this is extremely highly recommended!
Cheers,
Lee
