Subject RIP Michael Been (The Call)

I just saw that Michael Been passed away yesterday from a heart attack. While I know The Call aren't a power pop band, they've always been a huge favorite of mine since I saw them the first time in 1985. They seemed to be on the cusp of bigger fame a few times, but never seemed able to get over the hump.

I saw them play the night the Berlin Wall came down. Their version that night of The Walls Came Down was one of my favorite concert moments of all-time.

In the past several years, Been has been the live sound engineer for his son's band, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
