I'm not surprised Splitsville couldn't swing it. They haven't played out much since Matt moved to Denver, and it's probably a lot more effort for them to get back into shape than bands who are at least in the same area. Which is a pity, because they ooze awesome from their pores...
Somebody mentioned Dan Sarka of The Vandalias and Stingray Green. Yes, he's in Minneapolis or at least nearby, but his band broke up a while ago. They might be willing to play a party though, they're hella nice guys.
I believe the Beatifics are also from Mnpls. Not sure if they're still playing.
Or you could just call Prince.... ;-)

Let me start by saying to all those folks on here who have a hand in setting up various pop festivals... For the love of all thats holy how in the world do you do it?!?!??!??!????
Once upon a time I had a simple plan. I was gonna throw myself a party. Hire a couple of bands I love, invite a messof people I at least liked, buy a keg of good beer, something edible.... simple, right?
Right off the bat let me make one thing clear... in the following I am NOT bitching about the bands/people involved in any way, shape or form. I'm using the names because it makes this more interesting to read for Audities types, that is all.
