Lawrence Arabia is the musical nom de plume of James Milne. I fell in love with his songs after hearing Apple Pie Bed earlier this year. I was hoping to see his band at SXSW. Unfortunately they had to cancel their appearance but I was very excited to hear that he was supporting CH on their North American tour this summer.

FYI, he's also involved in a side project called BARB with Liam Finn, Eliza Jane Barnes (Liam Finn's recent touring partner), Connan Mockasin, and Seamus Ebbs. BARB's songs definitely lean on the indie, quirky side but it's worth checking out. Their record is going to be released in late Aug on Yep Roc.
