Well, fair enough. To each their own. I've just never heard anyone
describe them the way you have. And when I hear "boogie", it makes me
think of Southern Rock, which King's X are definitely not. Also, I don't
like blues because, I agree, its dull. So that's not what I hear in their
music, either. They are probably best described as progressive rock, but
there are just too many hooks and melodies in their music to categorize
them as such. Ponderous...I can see that if you interpret some of the
heavy, sludgy riffs and bass that way. But that isn't how all of their
music rolls.

Indeed, YMMV.

Just to keep the record straight, I didn't say King's X "are" horrendous.
I said I "think" they are horrendous. You may not agree with me, but I
assure you my statement is 100% factual, as it quite accurately reflects my
thoughts on the matter. And I haven't detected any power pop in their
music, just ponderous boogie and blues-based dullness.

YMMV! ;-)

Well, I am Christian, but I find most Christian music to be beyond boring.

King's X is certainly not horrendous. They may not be a band you enjoy,
but to say they're horrendous is misleading. They are very talented
musicians but they sound nothing like the other bands you mentioned here.

That's why I described their music in my earlier e-mail as hard rock. They

are definitely not what the majority of people here would listen to. But
there's no denying a Power Pop element in their music. Yes, I'm all about

saving money so certainly do try before you buy.

Last and least, King's X. I think they're horrendous, but they do seem to

have a bit of a following. Try before you buy.
