Also - a folkie - Chuck Brodsky's Baseball Ballads. Also, a series
called Diamond Cuts, Volume one of which features my favorite baseball
song, Tom Paxton's "My Favorite Spring"  (his best version of this song
is lp only, but this one is quite good).

You can't go wrong with the Baseball Project's debut album from 2008,
led by Steve Wynn and Scott McCaughey (with Pete Buck on bass).  All
baseball songs, though, depending on how old your son is, you may want
to skip the best track on the album, "Ted Fucking Williams".  They also
have been making songs from their next album available, one month at a
time, on ESPN.
