Ahhh, so glad to easily amuse! :-D Can't we simply agree ALL genres have their regular parade of bland, wanna-be generic musings and, most definitely, 'power pop' is right in the mix - no disgreement there! (trust me, this is *know*!)
Interesting how you took a simple praise statement of a really cool release from me to lift up your own tastes over my own is pretty amusing, too. ;-P (it's a joke, I kid, I keed! Speaking of 'keeding', I really miss Triumph, the insult comic dog....sigh. Don't know Triumph? Run to YouTube....)
I like you stoking up the flames under the kettle to boil a bit, though!
I'll always have a sweet spot for you, Miles as your email name has always honored, for years, one of my all-time favorite bands so yr a man of great taste.
Rawk, No Roll,
The Endlessingly Amusing Bruce

Oh, and I meant to add this:

I agree about a lot of "Americana" music being samey, but this comment
is endlessly amusing given this list's and NotLame's preferred
subgenre. Definitely file under "pot calling the kettle black."
