Sad news, indeed. That guitar solo is one of the best moments in pop
history!
Another Peluso production that wouldn't get mentioned in an obit---but
happens to be one of my favorite obscure power pop albums-- is Phillips &
MacLeod's "Le Partie du Cocktail". After Seals & Crofts had a hit with the
Phillips/MacLeod penned "Takin' It Easy" which Peluso also produced, he was
there for P/M's first album on their own. A great piece of '70s power pop
that I like to describe as the "the Beach Boys meet Badfinger in Boston."
RIP, Tony! And thanks for the music!
