I'm particularly fond of Lisa Lauren's version of "The Word" off of her fine
CD titled "Lisa Lauren Loves The Beatles" which is a total disc of (pop)
jazz interpretations of Beatles tunes.

I also liked Jeff Healey's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", though he doesn't
do anything particularly original to it other than extended blues soloing.
I tend to like Beatles covers (and covers in general) that try to veer off
in a new direction.
