I am getting ready to thin the CD herd when I ran across a CD that fits
right into this discussion. It was included in a copy of Uncut magazine
early in the 2000s. The disc includes 24 tracks by Echo and the Bunnymen,
801 w/Phil Manzanera and Brain Eno, Teenage Fanclub, Otis Redding, Nils
Lofgren, Siouxsie & the Banshees, 10cc, Oasis, Billy Bragg, Booker T and the
MGs and others. Very cool disc. 

 

Also remember Todd Rungdren's version of Rain & Strawberry Fields and the
complete CD worth of Beatles' covers by Andrew Gold.
