Mike - Thanks for the info.  Their first CD was produced in the UK and sounds great.  They did the 2nd CD in Germany, for reasons unknown (cost)?  In any event, I've emailed the band management, asking if that sound was on purpose or by accident.  I don't expect a response, but at least I got it off my chest. :) - Mark
