Man, this makes me sad. If you measure the value of music by the impact it has on you, Get the Knack is priceless for me (and an awful lot of my cohort born between '61 - '65).  I still play it pretty regularly, still smile at the leering horndog lyrics and still play air guitar with reckless abandon on "that" guitar solo.  I won't say it's a great album (too derivative for that - and not of The Beatles, ironically, but The Who and The Kinks), but it remains a favorite for all of those evanescent reasons that make us love pop music.
