I have to agree. Just about everybody's voice darkens with age, it just happens. Have you hear Lindsey Buckingham lately, sounds like he's lost an octave.

I think we need to take it into perspective. Our childhood gods are aging,
and beginning to falter. It kills me to hear Daltry or McCartney strain for
the high note....but I'm grateful that they're still out there, giving back
to the fans.
Between....say....1993 and 2003 (not sure), I went to Reno or Tahoe at least
once a year to see The Everly Brothers. They appear to have now retired
for good, and I am so glad that I made the effort.
Although I was young, it kills me that I never saw The Beatles, Elvis or
Sinatra. And I had opportunities.
Enjoy them while you can...
