This is truly unfortunate news. Chesnutt was a tremendous talent. He will be missed.

I heard about this and I'm so upset by it. I was fortunate to see him live
and meet him this year, such a great performer and songwriter.
Unappreciated and unknown, largely, which is sad. Apparently he and
Kristin Hersh were very close friends, too - she wrote a beautiful eulogy on
her website and is taking donations to help his wife/family with their
hospital and funeral costs. She also wrote some pretty harrowing tweets in
the last couple of days.
