I finally had to cave in and see what all the fuss was about this band.

While most of their latest "Vekatimest" is  a slow-grower, the single

"Two Weeks" is an amazing sonic slab of Brian Wilson-meets-Flaming

Lips orchestral pop wizardry. Pretty impressive stuff.

 

Also diggin the new Brendan Benson . and Kevin McAdams, a superb

new solo artist from NJ. Check out the clips on Not Lame:

Sadly, the new Shazam and Jet albums are a bit of a letdown. Decent stuff,
but I think I was expecting a little something more.

 

Anyone get the new Falkner yet?
