Not Rafael, but also a huge fan.

Nelson is touting one of this years' releases ("Fancy Planets") as a return to his Be Bop Deluxe roots. I'd say it's closer to Red Noise/Quit Dreaming era, but sounds good.

If you can find them (a big if..), I'd seek out the releases he does in connection with the annual fan convention. He generally considers those as his "lesser" work, but that almost always equates to accessible vocal/guitar music. The guitar playing has come back strong and to the forefront the past 5 years or so, unlike the 15 years preceeding where he pretty much buried it.

"Satellilte Songs" is a few years old but the material was originally written for an aborted Be Bop Deluxe reunion tour, so you might enjoy that. I think Nelson is averaging about 5 new releases each year, so there's no shortage of material out there. If you can afford it, no doubt you'll find something you like.

Greg
