I wanted to thank the couple of you that recommended the GRADO SR60
headphones. My last pair of "good" headphones died about 25 years ago.
They were a set of AKG K140's that I really liked (couldn't afford the
K240's!). Well, since then, I had not listened via headphones, until the
advent of the iPod age (I was an early mp3 adopter, buying the Diamond RIO
the first year it came out). Then, I only used the earbuds that came with
the various players that I purchased. I did buy a "premium" set of earbuds,
some Etymotic ER-6's..but they are not comfortable, and they have absolutely
zero bass, even when I shove them so deep in my ears that I fear they may
never come back. I pretty much hate the Etymotics so they never get used.

Anyway, based upon the recommendation of the GRADO's, I did a bit more
research and decided to find a local dealer. Tonight, I went to the audio
store and "auditioned" the GRADO's. It took me about 15 seconds to say
"YES, I'll take them".

Right now, I am sitting at home with those cans wrapped around my head,
listening to the newest Ben Lee CD (320 mp3 rip) on my iPod Touch and it
sounds absolutely great. The first "cd" (alos a 320 mp3 rip) I played was
Joni Mitchell's "Court & Spark" and it also sounded wonderful.

I don't want to take them off! And, the best part is knowing that they will
only get BETTER as I burn them in!

Thanks for the recommendation. I am extremely pleased with these headphones
and would also offer my wholehearted recommendation to purchase them if
you'd like some really good sound at a relatively inexpensive cost ($79).

Steve Amos
