I would say about 85% of my music is obtained by digital download, mostly
via eMusic and a little bit from iTunes. The remaining 15% would be evenly
divided by CDs and vinyl. As for playback methods, most of my listening at
home is via the iPod through the stereo as that seems to be the most
convienient for my partner and me. I reserve my 45 minute commute for when
I really want to concentrate on the music, as I am alone and that amount of
time is perfect for listening to most CDs. Even though most of my music is
obtained by digital download, I still burn all the downloads to CD-R and
retain two 1 TB external hard drives. One is used as the primary download
destination and the other is backed up each week or so and kept in a fire
proof safe in the garage.
