No artist had a series of albums that impacted me as they were putting them
out the way the Beatles impacted me as I discovered them. But I discovered
the Beatles early. The group whose catalog I had the most pleasure
discovering *after* the Beatles would have been XTC, and I even had the
pleasure of being able to really get into them while they were still
(barely) active (after *Nonsuch* but before *Apple Venus Volume 1*, though I
did purchase *Oranges & Lemons *when it came out).
