I love everything Scott Miller has done, probably to a fault. While I'd still consider GT's "Lolita Nation" to be his swansong, P&B&R&T's is a very close second, and he hasn't come close since.

Having said that, I think your statement that "the album would've entered the commercial charts" is really a stretch and fails to capture the essence of this thread - we (Audities) are different, and our tastes are different than the mainstream. Too many chord changes, too many words, and vocals that Scott Miller himself once credited on liner notes as "miserable whine". I just can't see it.

Someone said early on (maybe Ron S or Stewart?) to the effect "give me a million dollar promotion budget, I can make anyone a star". I agree with that statement, but I think in Scott Miller's case, it might take a couple million dollars.

Again, I'm a huge fan (I own a garbage bag sleeve copy of Blaze of Glory and have since it was released). His songs speak to me in some wierd way that doesn't happen too frequently. But I know I'm different, and I'm OK with that.
