Jeff - right on! 



I was starting high school when "Get The Knack" and "The Beat" came out and both took turns dominating my turntable for a long time.  And I still play them both plenty!  



"Get The Knack" gets a lot of love (and deservedly so), but pound-for-pound and song-for-song, "The Beat" is right there with it.  Throw in the first Romantics album and you get a shimmery-chord trifecta that's hard to beat (pardon the pun).  :-)
