My favorites so far seem to fall into a handful of obvious groupings:

Really strong records from veteran bands who Michael Azerrad happened to write about in 'Our Band Could Be Your Life':
Sonic Youth - The Eternal
Dinosaur Jr. - Farm

Fuzzy indie pop hearkening back to the C86 days:
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - S/T
Very Truly Yours - Reminders EP

Shoegazey indie pop with female vocals and more than one Cocteau Twins record in their collection:
School of Seven Bells - Alpinisms

Extremely noisy low-fi indie rock with hidden pop songs underneath (and a frontman/only-man rapidly wearing out his welcome):
Wavves - Wavvves

Good solid indie rock with some moments of sweeping grandeur:
Cymbals Eat Guitars - Why There Are Mountains

Young, enthusiastic, and charming bands with great big teenage ambitions:
Smith Westerns - S/T (little bit o' glam)
The Magic Kids - "Hey Boy" single, and eagerly awaiting more (whole lot o' Beach Boys)

I've been happy to see my two favorite new Chicago bands get Reader profiles over the last month or so:

Here's the piece on Very Truly Yours:
