I play bass with Dirty Dan Buck, lead vocalist of The Boyzz from Illinoizz, a hard-rocking band from Chicago, and we would love to be involved. During the late 70's, The Boyzz and Ian Hunter were both on Epic/Cleveland International, and they did shows together. Back then, and now, one of the highlights of our show is One of The Boys--which Ian loved. By separate email, I will try and forward a you tube video of The Boyzz back in the day at the Agora, joined on stage by Ian, Mick Ronson, Meatloaf, Ellen Foley and Karla DeVito for a rollicking version of Whole Lotta Shaking Goin On. To interested parties...
I am in the early stages of putting together a Mott The Hoople
Tribute album to coincide with their reunion concert in London this
coming October.
My people are talking to Ian's people about being able to do this
without coughing up the $75 per song Harry Fox royalty up front.
Not sure if I am gonna do the whole shebang with a physical CD or
just digital or maybe digital with CD-R's available for the artists
or what.
If you are an artist who might me interested being on this record,
please let me know.
Stratocruiser, The Shazam, Tim Lee, Peter Holsapple, Terry Anderson,
The Anderson Council and more are on board.
