Eugene Edwards is playing this year's LA IPO. I just sent him an email
yesterday to ask what he's up to generally vis a vis his own career, but
haven't heard back yet.

By the way, Eugene makes his day-to-day living in music...he's been (and
I thinks till is) Sha-Na-Na's lead guitarist. See the greaser on the
left in this picture

Boatclub is one of my favorites of the year... I then realized I'd never

got Piucci's solo album Helenes... found one on half.com for $2. If you

dig Boatclub or Rain Parade, you'd like this one too

The Nourallah Brothers or the Bees/Silver Seas. Along with Eugene
Edwards (BTW, has he quit the biz?), these newer artists really stand
out and appeal to my sense of what melodic guitar pop oughta' be. What
do you folks think?
