Really like the Tony Cox, Clint Sutton, Rosas as well.
Today spins have included:
new Greg Pope EP (wish he's release something each month- he's that
good) Roger Klug/More Help for Your Nerves
Michael Carpenter/Redemption #39
Sweet/Action: The Sweet Anthology (2xCD)
The Sweet deal is out on Shout Factory and is stunning. The sound is
just great. Also out in July from Shout is the Vol. 2 of the Matthew
Sweet and Suzanna Hoffs collaboration "Under the Covers." This was
mentioned a few months back. All songs are from the 70's and features
guests Lindsey Buckingham (on "Second Hand News") and Steve Howe (on
"Your Move/I've Seen All Good People").
Tomorrow here in Charlotte sees a free show by Tinted Windows. Can't
wait.

Just picked up these on a buying spree from CDBaby:
Craig Marshall-Point of View
Tony Cox-Unpublished (Wow!)
Chris Richards & The Subtractions
Clint Sutton-s/t (double Wow!)
Andrew Rosas (Chris Bell reincarnated?)
Boatclub-s/t
Your Gracious Host-s/t
Chewy Marble-Modulations
Invisible Mind Circus- Look Inside
Travis Hopper-All The Lights In The City Tonight
Cheap Star- Speaking Like An Elephant
Not a clunker in the bunch. Check them out at CDBaby.
I've been lurking here since the 90s and I've seen little mention of The
Nourallah Brothers or the Bees/Silver Seas. Along with Eugene Edwards
(BTW, has he quit the biz?), these newer artists really stand out and
appeal to my sense of what melodic guitar pop oughta' be. What do you
folks think?
